Open Compute Notes

Open Compute Notes

Open Compute Notes is a working notebook on the economics and engineering of running your own infrastructure: rack-level costs, open firmware, the real price of egress, and when the cloud bill stops making sense.

It exists because the conversation about compute is dominated by the companies that sell it. These notes are written from the other side โ€” operators who buy hardware, colocate it, and answer for the uptime. Numbers over narratives, updated as we measure.
